Bison Blockchain files suit against Chinese conglomerate of Bitcoin miners

Dear stakeholders and community members,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this public letter to inform you that BCB Cheyenne LLC (DBA Bison Blockchain) has filed a formal Complaint in Wyoming Federal District Court against MineOne, our former partners in the North Range and Campstool Bitcoin mining projects.

As we prepared to energize and begin Bitcoin mining at the North Range site, we became increasingly concerned by MineOne’s actions. They turned from being a partner we thought we knew and trusted, to working against us with an agenda to take over the North Range and Campstool projects.  Ultimately, they removed us as the operator of both sites, without cause, and have denied us the well-deserved financial remuneration and success of the projects.

I am deeply disappointed that we have local businesses that have suffered from this and team members who have lost their jobs over this. Now, as MineOne brings more foreign workers to Wyoming, we won’t be able to make good on our commitment to the local community and Cheyenne LEADS to hire Wyomingites for more than twenty job openings.

We started Bison Blockchain with a mission to build and operate the largest Bitcoin mine in Wyoming. Up until March and MineOne’s breach of our agreement, we were on course to achieve our mission. We thought MineOne was our partner in this mission. We truly did. But, we were mistaken.

More than anything, we are feeling betrayed and hurt. It is challenging to put into words just how much our team and others have poured into this project the last two years, and now, the future is uncertain for those who committed so much to our mission and this endeavor.

While we had hoped to resolve this matter with MineOne through dialogue and negotiation, we came to see our only option going forward was to pursue legal action to safeguard our rights, our interests, and those in the community negatively impacted by what has transpired.

As we address and navigate this challenging situation, we want to assure our community and stakeholders we remain dedicated to transparency, collaboration, integrity, and the growth of the blockchain industry – in Cheyenne, throughout Wyoming, and across the United States. We will continue to work diligently and in good faith with all of our partners and collaborators to advance our mission and create value for all those who have placed their trust in us.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. We immensely appreciate it, and we will keep you informed of any major developments.

Sincerely,

Michael Murphy, CPA
